January 6, 2012 Gratitude Challenge
People sometimes remark about how awesome my job must be. I must say, it is pretty cool. I get to help people design and build their very own get-away in their backyard. Today, I met a lady who definitely has earned a get-away. She runs a hospice and home care facility. She makes a great living helping others die gracefully. I admire her for that. When I left her home today she gave me a hug and stated "I am a hugger, I hug everyone" and I know she probably does and that is why she is greatly suited for her job. I am a hugger too and was glad to meet another one. So, today, I am grateful that the worst part of my job is sometimes having to tell someone their dream of a pool cannot be because their loan was not approved. I will pray for my new friend to have the grace to do the worst part of her job which is to tell someone their loved one is no longer alive.

Grateful Day
My five year old had to write a sentence today about what she would do if she had a money tree. I am grateful that she wrote "if I had a money tree, I would share".

Gratitude Challenge Day 1
I have decided to take the 21 day gratitude challenge. Today I am supposed to think about why I am motivated to do this and what I expect to get out of it.
I wish to show my gratitude in small ways to everyone around me. I can't think of a better way to begin the year. I am the type of person that basks in the joy of the little things. So, I seek to tell people in the hopes of passing it on and making someone else's day a little more joyful.
